Personal residence in West Hollywood, CA
As a designer, collector, and artist, I was captivated by the unique architectural characteristics of this one-bedroom loft nestled off the bustling streets of West Hollywood, CA. The two-story pitched roof with exposed beams, black-painted wood flooring, and stark white walls immediately caught my attention. I knew I had endless opportunities to bring mood and a sense of mystique into my home by playing with contrast, like a splash of nude paint in the dining room, and by incorporating seasonal florals for life and vibrancy. To create a sense of warmth, I chose natural fiber rugs, bamboo window coverings, and layered tribal textiles and curated antiques throughout each space to provide a sense of wonder as your eye moves. My goal was to establish a gallery inside the residence where these objects could be displayed.
